David did his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and his graduate degree in Business Administration. He joined the LBA because he is interested in how the fields of law and business intersect and influence each other and how this relationship can be applied to alternative law career paths. A fun fact about David is that he has been to over 40 countries. 

Armann was born and raised in Edmonton and completed his Bachelor of Commerce at MacEwan University with a major in human resources and a minor in business law. He joined the LBA because he thought he would look great in an LBA quarter-zip but he also has an interest in litigation and all the possible opportunities that exist in that field. Some fun facts about Armann is that he's run a marathon, loves basketball, hiking, overpriced coffee, and spin.

Brandon holds a Bachelor of Management degree from Concordia University of Edmonton. He joined the LBA because of his strong interest in connecting different disciplines. For Brandon, the LBA provides an exciting opportunity to explore the evolving relationship between law and business. A fun fact about Brandon is, in his free time, he enjoys music and is passionate about playing the guitar.

Peter did his undergraduate degree in Business Management at the Concordia University of Edmonton. He joined the LBA for the invaluable networking opportunities with legal professionals and fellow students, as well as a desire to be actively involved in the law school community. A fun fact about Peter is that he loves Star Wars!

Alyssa holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in Business Economics and Law. She joined the LBA as a way to connect with students and get more involved with the law school community. A fun fact about Alyssa is her first job was as a gymnastics instructor!

Samara did her undergraduate degree in Arts and Business from the University of Waterloo where she majored in Legal Studies and Sociology. She joined the LBA because she is excited to participate in the networking workshops to meet new people and contribute to the event planning of the Legal Innovation and Digital Law conference. A fun fact about Samara is that she’s lived in 8 countries! 

Inaara did her undergraduate degree in Health Science and Criminology at the University of Western Ontario. She joined the LBA to meet and engage with like-minded intellectual individuals who she can build lasting relationships with. She loves that to join the LBA you don’t need to come from a traditional business background! She also feels like the club fosters a welcoming environment which allows for inclusivity and diversity. A fun fact about Inaara is that she loves hockey and Formula 1 (Go Hamilton!).

Stephanie did her undergrad in Commerce, majoring in Human Resources Management and minoring in Legal Studies in Business and Psychology. She joined the LBA because she is interested in learning how the field of law and business intersect. A fun fact about Stephanie is that she can speak Portuguese.

Johnathan is a 2L student who completed his undergraduate degree in Commerce with a major in legal studies in business. He is excited to represent the Law and Business Association as VP of Innovation to expand his understanding of the vital role innovative technology plays in Canada's law and business sectors. His goal is to create diverse opportunities for student collaboration, networking, and professional development. A fun fact about Johnathan is that he previously competed in boxing and recently ventured into the sport of hockey as an Assistant Captain for the Litigators 🐊.

Harinderpal Sekhon was born and raised in Edmonton and completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta before starting his JD at the U of A Faculty of Law. He joined the Law and Business Association because he wanted a better understanding of how legal and business professionals work together, while also expanding his network in the space. Fun fact: he loves working on cars and helping build everything from clean show builds to full-on race setups.

Reid received a diploma in Paralegal Studies and worked in the legal industry for several years before attending Law School, where he did his first year abroad (in Saskatoon) before transferring to the University of Alberta. He joined the LBA to support incoming students in networking and to contribute to a collaborative law school community. A fun fact about Reid is that he plays in a rock band in his free time.

Jasnoor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an English minor and a Master’s in Policy Studies from the University of Alberta. She joined the LBA to help create meaningful opportunities for students to explore the intersection between law and business. A fun fact about Jasnoor is that she has built a personal library of over 400 books.

Nader has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology as well as a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Alberta. He joined the LBA because despite not coming from a business background, he wanted to gain insight on the intersection of law and business, and help other students do the same. One fun fact about Nader is that he lived in Mexico for an entire semester during his undergrad and has a passion for travelling.

Gurjodh Dhillon did his undergraduate degree in Business Economics and Law. He joined the LBA to meet and engage with driven, like-minded individuals and build lasting relationships within the legal and business community. His favourite part of the LBA is the industry connections the club introduces members to, providing valuable exposure and real-world insight. During his gap year, Gurjodh started and ran his own small business, gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and client relations. Fun fact: Gurjodh enjoys working on cars, travelling, and skeet shooting.

Kaeli holds a Bachelor of Commerce from MacEwan University with a major in Legal Studies in Business. She joined the LBA to connect with new people and further explore the entrepreneurial aspects of the legal field. A fun fact about Kaeli is that she has met Taylor Swift!

Zaid did his undergraduate degree at MacEwan University where he majored in International Business and minored in Political Science. He joined the LBA as a way to meet students and professionals with a similar interest in Corporate Law. A fun fact about Zaid is that he’s ran a marathon. 

Amarvir holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary where he majored in Accounting. He joined the LBA to help create opportunities for students to connect with the legal profession and to support events that bridge business and law. A fun fact about Amarvir is that he loves pastries and coffee.

Dale is a 1L representative for the LBA. He is originally from Alberta but has lived in Victoria, B.C. since he was 6. He completed his BBA-Marketing at Camosun College while playing volleyball for the Camosun Chargers. Dale particularly enjoyed being a student athlete and loves sports in general. After graduation, Dale started his own landscaping business which he ran for two years prior to selling his company and coming to law school. Dale has always wanted to be a lawyer and is so thrilled to be studying at the UofA, where his grandfather graduated from law school in 1986. His interests in entrepreneurship and the intersection of law and business are what he hopes to foster during his time in the LBA.

Maddy holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary, where she majored in Law and Society. What Maddy enjoys about the LBA is the opportunity to learn about the intersection of law and business while being a part of a supportive community. A fun fact about Maddy is that she has met two Canadian superstars — Tate McRae at a lake and Rick Mercer at an airport!

Quinn has an undergraduate degree in Commerce from the University of Alberta and is excited to be part of the LBA team. She’s looking forward to learning more about the business side of law and connecting with like-minded students. A fun fact about Quinn is that she spends a lot of time at Pigeon Lake enjoying the outdoors.

Thomas holds a bachelor of science in Kinesiology from UNB and has just recently finished his master of science in biomedical engineering at the University of Alberta. In his master’s he got an interest in business and medical device innovation. Thomas joined the LBA to learn more about how Law, Business, and technology intersect. A fun fact about Thomas is that he coaches football at a community football team.
